Maintenance Technician III

Maintain, repair, and service production-related equipment and accessories. Also, install capital and/or expensed projects (with safety as the top priority).

Responsibilities

- Use electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair electrical components.

- Basic Electrical print reading, troubleshooting electrical motors, testing and replacing fuses, testing and replacing motors, contacts, and motor starters.

- Advanced electrical print reading, troubleshooting, and repair of control cabinets.

- Advanced electrical print reading to make drawings and schematics, and to make a bill of materials to order parts and materials to repair or build control cabinets.

- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment. Replace chains, gearboxes, and machine parts.

- Basic welding and fabrication of parts to repair or replace manufacturing equipment.

- Perform de-energized PM work on mechanical systems.

- Advanced welding to fabricate parts and repair high-pressure piping.

- Design and fabricate custom safety guards for manufacturing equipment.

- Perform de-energized PM work on hydraulic systems.

- Repair hydraulic systems, including leaks, worn hoses and lines, and bad seals.

- Boiler operation and daily pm.

- Boiler repairs up to level 2.

- Read and troubleshoot ladder logic programs.

- Maintain the Shop in a clean and orderly condition. Dispose of scrap materials in designated containers.

- Clean all work areas of material, parts, oil, grease, etc.

- Research and provide the storeroom with documentation for needed supplies.

- Must interact with employees professionally at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

- LOTO Certified/Confined Space/Arc Flash.

- Must be able to stand for a minimum of ten hours.

- Must be able to lift work-in-process, which could weigh between 50 and 100 pounds.

- Able to carry 50 pounds.

- Perform all work according to Code and in a neat and workmanlike manner.

- All work to be performed while adhering to all mandated Federal, State, Local, and company Safety Regulations.

- Forklift Certified

Education/Experience/Skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to explain problems and receive and understand work assignments.

- Excellent motor skills (hand/eye coordination) are necessary to use the equipment used in this job.

- Experience in Industrial Mechanics

- Experience in Industrial Electric

- Experience in Industrial Hydraulics

Threaders, drill presses, grinders, welding equipment, saws, cutters, hoist, power-driven trucks, shears, electric test equipment, related items, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, face shield, and safety gloves.

Job Location/Environment/Surroundings

- Oklahoma City facility, 4041 N. Santa Fe Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73118. Supports all Manufacturing and Distribution facilities.

- Noise levels require earplugs.

- Due to noise levels, verbal communication may sometimes be difficult.

- The area is not air-conditioned. The floor is concrete with no floor covering.

Testing (What tests are required to determine skill levels):

- Testing will consist of extensive verbal questioning on all skills and trades required for this function.

- Appropriate schematic reading and interpretation.

- Appropriate blueprint reading.

Schedule: 4:00 PM – 4:00 AM or 6:30 PM – 5:00 AM (subject to change based on coverage and overtime needs)
