Maintenance I&E Technician

Ecolab is seeking a   Maintenance Mechanic III – Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E)  to join our team   in  Fresno, Texas.  As a Maintenance I&E Technician, you will repair and install electrical systems, instrumentation, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components in industrial machinery and perform preventative maintenance.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

- Perform Preventative Maintenance Tasks(PMs) and Corrective Work Orders(CMs) on a variety of electrical and instrumentation equipment including but not limited to: pressure instruments, level instruments, flow instruments, temperature instruments, pH/ORP/conductivity meters, analyzers, and actuated valves and control valves
- Cut, bend, and install tubing needed for the proper installation of the instrumentation device.
- Set controls to regulate factors, such as current flow, timing cycle, pressure or vacuum, or temperature according to specifications.
- Actively work on troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of pneumatic, electronic, analog, and digital process control instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot/repair predictive program instrumentation and document instrumentation repair history in the CMMS system as required by site specific documentation.
- Perform Basic DCS Controls
- Ensure replacement spare parts are available or replaced once installed.
- Perform assignments in the layout, installation, repair, alteration, and maintenance of a wide variety of complex electrical equipment such as process controls, lighting systems, motor controls systems, hi and low voltage electrical.
- Maintain a strong focus on housekeeping in I&E shop and at job sites in the field
- Disassemble instruments or devices as needed to identify defects or failures.
- Make repairs & modifications to equipment and facilities as scheduled through the work order system
- Responsible for completing all paperwork assigned and coordinating with the Reliability Supervisor to ensure data is correct and recorded

Position Details:

- Plant Location: Fresno, Texas
- Work Week & Shift:  6:30am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday (4 10s), possible OT, callouts
- Compensation:  $43 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of I&E experience in the oil & gas, or chemical manufacturing industry
- 4  years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
- 4 years of experience in repair and troubleshooting methods of rotating equipment
- 4 years of experience with tools, procedures, and methods utilized in an industrial maintenance environment.

Physical Requirements of Position:

- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high
- Working in a chemical processing plant with variable temperatures, odors, noise levels, elevated heights, and/or confined spaces.
- Wearing and using a respirator under certain conditions Garyville, Fresno, Clearing, Ellwood City, Montgomery

Preferred Qualifications:

- Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with emphasis on maintenance/instrumentation
- Experience taking apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts
- Previous experience working as a Millwright
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail. Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- NFPA-70E trained and qualified
- PLC Based Programming
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:
The pay rate is $43 per hour. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
