What You Will Do:

- Develop production software
- Develop automated test cases to maintain legacy functionality
- Build development and troubleshooting tools leveraging ML/AI capabilities
- Troubleshoot and contribute to the resolution of issues identified during testing
- Perform software/hardware integration testing in the lab, both independently and collaboratively
- Conduct hands-on nodal verification of delivered functionality
- Review software designs and test plans
- Report on test results

The Skills You Bring:

- Currently enrolled in a B.Sc. or M.Sc. program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (minimum 2 years completed)
- Software development and debugging experience
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
- AI/ML knowledge or experience is an asset
- Basic knowledge of wireless communication standards is an asset
- Familiarity with embedded and/or real-time software is an asset
- Understanding of hardware building blocks is an asset

Eligibility requirements:

- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Uploading an unofficial copy of your transcript
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, master’s, or PhD on a full-time basis at a four-year college or university at the time of the co-op
- Be available to work 40 hours per week

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

The salary range for this position is:
Bachelors: $25.5/hr CAD - $34.5/hr CAD
Masters: $37/hr CAD
