Are you interested in shaping the future of entertainment? Prime Video's technology teams are creating best-in-class digital video experience.

As a Prime Video technologist, you'll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. You'll get to work on projects that are fast-paced, challenging, and varied. You'll also be able to experiment with new possibilities, take risks, and collaborate with remarkable people.

We'll look for you to bring your diverse perspectives, ideas, and skill-sets to make Prime Video even better for our customers. With global opportunities for talented technologists, you can decide where a career Prime Video Tech takes you!

What You'll Do

Join Prime Video's Partner Experience & Supply Chain team as a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer and become the technical leader who defines how we turn partner and supply chain data into business intelligence at scale. You will be the recognized data authority for the organization, owning the long-term view of our BI architecture and how it fits together across systems, and setting the standard for how insights are produced, trusted, and acted upon.

You'll operate in complex and often ambiguous problem spaces, working with limited guidance alongside product managers, engineers, and operations leaders. You will not just build dashboards, you will shape the analytics strategy for the org, decide where to invest, and lead large initiatives that require the coordinated work of multiple data professionals.

The Problems You'll Solve

Our supply chain generates massive amounts of data, but data alone doesn't drive change, insights do. You'll take on the intrinsically hard, undefined problems: Where are the systemic bottlenecks slowing content delivery, and what is the root cause across the pipeline rather than the symptom? Which partner workflows need to be re-architected? How do we predict and prevent supply chain issues before they impact customers?

You will own the data lineage end to end, developing deep understanding of and influence over the technical systems that generate the data, how metrics are aggregated, and how the resulting business intelligence is consumed, interpreted, and acted upon by the business. When problems are pervasive or persistent, you drive them to root cause, and your fixes may unblock related teams across the organization.

What Makes This Role Different

You'll be a strategic partner and a key influencer in team strategy, shaping how Prime Video manages relationships with content partners and optimizes the entire supply chain. You will anticipate, and where appropriate influence, stakeholders' future requirements rather than react to them. You will show good judgment making trade-offs between team investment (prioritization, data retention policy, infrastructure cost) and business need, and you will only advocate for new BI solutions when they are genuinely necessary.

Your work directly influences how quickly and efficiently we bring content to millions of viewers worldwide, and you will ensure the team is stronger because of your presence but does not require your presence to succeed.

Key job responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions in complex and/or ambiguous problem areas, taking the long-term view of how each solution fits the team's architecture and lifecycle, and proactively fixing architecture deficiencies
Own and influence data lineage across the organization, from how data is generated through how metrics are aggregated to how business intelligence is consumed and acted upon
Lead large, multi-person BI projects: decompose them into parallel workstreams for yourself and other data professionals, and reassemble the work into a cohesive, successful launch
Drive BI engineering best practices and set standards for the org (operational excellence, code reviews, syntax and naming conventions, metric definitions, alarms); ensure solutions are accurate, timely, accessible, and actionable
Build inventive, robust, scalable, and extensible data pipelines, data models, and dashboards from multi-dimensional datasets that others can easily maintain and build upon
Resolve the root cause of pervasive or persistent problems, influencing decisions across teams and building consensus to find and drive the best path forward
Understand and articulate the capabilities and limitations of the systems you work with (e.g., cluster size, concurrent users, data classification) to both technical and non-technical audiences, clarifying what is possible today versus what requires technology investment
Build fast prototypes using Amazon AI tools (Kiro, Claude CLI, QuickSuite) and translate them into production-grade data products, selecting optimal tools by balancing speed, efficiency, and scalability
Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders verbally and in writing, and influence their decisions and future requirements
