Mainframe Security Analyst

Mainframe systems security Analyst working to support a mainframe environment for government agency, with expertise in RACF and identity management activities for a large multi-agency health care claims processing environment.

Daily operational tasks include:

- Maintaining mainframe RACF environment and monitoring security access patterns
- Creating and deleting user accounts on various mainframe systems
- Confirming that the proper permissions are in place to restrict access to sensitive data
- Work with the Infrastructure Services provider to insure that security updates are rolled out to various mainframe environments
- Serve as primary point of contact for researching making to corrections to mainframe security and access related questions
- Provide regular reporting on production and UAT security and identity management related processing issues

- Perform user and security audits of the mainframe RACF environment on a regular basis
- Potential ability to work on-call shifts to support batch processing and monitoring

Education and Experience:

- BS degree and 4 years of experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Experience analyzing government mainframe systems
- Experience managing mainframe user accounts and security environment for a large government agency supporting Medical claims processing and a common workload file (CWF)
- Expertise with IBM RACF and Vanguard Security tools
- Expertise with mainframe and host based security
- Experience with audit and the security review process for RACF
- Able to utilize Incident ticket system to open, resolve, close tickets and Service Requests
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and a high level of focus and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with good time management with the ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00
