Our Shared Services team in Las Vegas manages DMV and title operations for Swickard's full store network. The DMV Manager oversees daily title and registration processing across assigned dealerships, leads the DMV team, manages relationships with DMV agencies and external partners, and serves as the primary resource for resolving title, registration, and deal-related discrepancies. This role also owns adjustment activity related to DMV transactions -- ensuring corrections are properly documented, supported, and reflected in the appropriate accounting and deal records.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Oversee daily DMV and title operations across assigned dealerships -- ensuring timely and accurate processing of vehicle registrations, titles, transfers, liens, and related documentation

• Manage and develop the DMV team -- establishing clear processes, performance expectations, and quality standards

• Review DMV transactions and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable state and local requirements

• Oversee DMV adjustments, corrections, and reconciliations -- identifying discrepancies and coordinating appropriate corrections to deal and accounting records

• Research and resolve title, registration, tax, fee, lien, and documentation issues in partnership with dealership personnel, customers, lenders, DMV agencies, and other external parties

• Monitor pending and aging DMV transactions and establish appropriate follow-up to prevent delays, penalties, or unresolved transactions

• Ensure proper handling and documentation of title work -- including electronic and paper titles, lien releases, duplicate titles, title corrections, and out-of-state transactions

• Partner with Accounting, Sales, Finance & Insurance, Inventory, and dealership leadership to resolve transaction discrepancies and ensure accurate deal processing

• Maintain appropriate controls over DMV documents, funds, fees, and records

• Develop and maintain standardized DMV procedures and ensure consistent application across dealerships

• Monitor regulatory and procedural changes affecting dealership DMV operations and communicate relevant requirements to leadership and the DMV team

• Prepare and maintain reports related to DMV activity, outstanding transactions, adjustments, and compliance

• Escalate significant discrepancies, compliance concerns, or unresolved transactions to appropriate leadership

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 4+ years of automotive dealership DMV, title, registration, or related administrative experience -- required

• Prior supervisory or management experience -- required

• High school diploma or equivalent -- required; additional education or coursework in business, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred

• Strong knowledge of dealership DMV, title, registration, lien, and vehicle transfer processes -- and familiarity with applicable DMV requirements, documentation standards, taxes, fees, and compliance procedures across multiple jurisdictions

• Strong accounting fundamentals -- journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting knowledge to support accurate DMV adjustment activity

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -- particularly when researching and resolving transaction discrepancies

• Ability to manage high-volume transactions while maintaining accuracy and timeliness

• Ability to identify process gaps, implement controls, and improve operational efficiency

• Proficiency with dealership systems, DMV platforms, Microsoft Office, and related business applications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external partners
