Location

This role will be based out of one of our major US or Canada office locations: Charlottesville, VA, Durham, NC, Columbus, OH, Boston, MA, Toronto, ON, or Vancouver, BC.

The Opportunity

This business unit specializes in data-driven solutions and strategic AI implementation. We help our clients unlock the full potential of their data and transform their business through innovative, AI-powered strategies.

Our Managing Director, Data, AI & Cloud, will lead our Data & AI advisory, AI solutions, Data platforms, and cloud transformation capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and success of the practice. You will provide strategic guidance, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver outstanding client value across our global footprint. The Managing Director, Data, AI & Cloud will have P&L responsibility and will play a critical role in shaping our company's overall vision, strategy, and growth.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Leadership:

- Collaborate with the executive leadership team to define the company's Data, AI & Cloud vision, strategy, and goals
- Drive growth by identifying emerging trends, market opportunities, and industry best practices
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of the Data, AI & Cloud strategic roadmap

P&L Responsibility:

- Assume overall accountability for the financial performance of the Data, AI & Cloud consulting practice
- Partner with Practice Leaders and Business Development to continue to grow managed accounts
- In partnership with Business Development, develop and implement effective revenue generation strategies to meet or exceed annual revenue targets
- Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary

Team Leadership and Management:

- Build and lead high-performing teams, including Data Engineers, Data Scientists, AI Strategists, and AI Engineers
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the Data, AI & Cloud teams globally and more broadly through the Practice Advisor team

Client Engagement and Delivery:

- Partner with clients to identify their business challenges and design tailored Data, AI & Cloud solutions
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality data-driven insights, models, and strategic recommendations
- Provide thought leadership and build trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders

Competencies

Experience:

- 10+ years of relevant leadership and team management experience within a top-tier management consultancy (Partner-level) or global and publicly traded enterprise (VP, SVP, or C-level) with a focus on AI, Data Engineering, Data Science, or Related Fields
- Leads a line of business for a mid-size to large consultancy (i.e., office, industry, etc.)
- Leadership experience in technology consulting, project management, and executive partnerships
- Clear and tested experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing P&L responsibilities

Industry Knowledge:

- In-depth knowledge of Data Engineering, Data Science, and AI technologies and tools
- Familiarity with emerging trends, best practices, and advancements in Data, AI & Cloud applications
- Track record of being a dynamic decision-maker and having adaptability in a quickly changing environment
- Deep knowledge of customer experience strategies and digital transformation

Leadership Competencies:

- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with strong business acumen
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders

Communication and Collaboration:

- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas effectively to C-level and Executive audiences
- Strong collaborator with the ability to work seamlessly across diverse teams and cultures
- Proficiency in English is required; additional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

Compensation

US Compensation: $208K – $275K • Offers Equity • Offers Bonus • 35% annual bonus of base salary, subject to the terms and conditions of the annual plan design
