Quality Supervisor

What you will do

Under general direction and within division policies and procedures, designs, develops and implements test and statistical process control procedures to achieve quality specification for all manufacturing processes.

How you will do it

- Directs, reviews and coaches employees engaged in measuring and testing products and tabulating data concerning material quality and process reliability, in accordance with plant goals
- Administers, supports and/or enforces health, environmental and safety standards, work practices and housekeeping policies and procedures.
- Compiles and develops training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
- Can develop, interpret and communicates relevant process data, charts or reports in a timely manner.
- Audits and analyzes process procedures as practiced in-house to assure performance to specifications.
- Champion special quality & improvement projects as assigned
- Conducts routine analysis on various internal battery components.
- May develop criteria for acceptable quality levels of purchased supplies and materials including coordination with key vendors to maintain certification.
- Provides quality assurance support and refines production methods.
- Analyzes data to provide continuous improvements in the supplier's products.
- Develops methods for testing, sampling and training to ensure required standards are being met.
- Conducts audits and creates finding reports to determine corrective and preventative action.  Ensures through internal auditing compliance with quality and process specifications.
- Design, develops and implements standards for inspection, testing and evaluation using statistical process control (SPC) methods.
- Creatively innovate through design or acquisition any existing quality tools or devices necessary for the process control and implementation of test procedures.
- Reviews product and process designs for compliance and safety, adherence to company standards, customer concerns and to ensure timely completion.
- Investigates material variances, reports results of investigation and recommends improvements.

What we look for

Required

- Associate's degree in engineering, statistics or related curriculum required, Bachelor's degree required

- 2-5 years' experience in manufacturing environment with progressing responsibilities
- Audit experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite: Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

Preferred

- Project management experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of benchmark change management practices
- Certified as Internal TS Auditor is a preferred.
- CQE or CQA certificates preferred.
- Quality experience in ISO/TS-16949 environment preferred.
