Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team , you will assist with monitoring financial markets, as well the monitoring, tracking, and reporting on initiated trades or transactions. You will assist in analyzing financial market data and determining trends or patterns, document trades or transactions based on the analysis of financial market data, support processes that transfer a portion of credit risk to private capital, and document pricing according to the associated risk of the asset.

In this role, you will support the execution of Single-Family mortgage-backed securities (MBS) transactions, working in a fast-paced, market-driven environment and engaging with lenders and other market participants. You will apply strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills to evaluate market information, support transaction execution, and ensure trading activity is accurately captured and monitored. You will also have opportunities to use data and technology to conduct analysis, improve workflows, and support trading decisions.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Capital Markets – Market Transactions – Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain relationships with lenders, financial dealers, and other market participants to support the pricing and execution of mortgage-backed securities (MBS) transactions.

- Support day-to-day Single-Family MBS trading activities by evaluating transaction opportunities, communicating pricing and market information, and facilitating timely execution.

- Monitor financial markets, MBS pricing, and relevant market activity to identify trends and provide information that supports trading and transaction decisions.

- Track trading activity and transaction details with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring information is appropriately documented, monitored, and communicated.

- Use internal valuation and risk models, market data sources, and analytical tools to evaluate securities, pricing, and market conditions.

- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners through clear, timely communication and effective coordination in a fast-paced trading environment.

- Conduct independent analysis of market and transaction data and develop tools or processes that improve efficiency, reporting, or trading insights.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Desired Experiences:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in capital markets, fixed income, mortgage finance, financial services, trading, or a related analytical environment; relevant internship experience, academic projects, or meaningful participation in finance, investment, trading, or other related university organizations may also be considered.

- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions, priorities, and time-sensitive deliverables accurately.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external market participants.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret financial and market data and translate analysis into actionable information.

- Programming, coding, or data-analysis experience that can be applied to financial analysis, automation, or market and portfolio analytics.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, market-driven environment where responsiveness, accuracy, and consistent engagement during trading hours are important.

- Interest in developing knowledge of mortgage-backed securities, fixed-income markets, and Single-Family mortgage trading.

This position is designated as sensitive and requires the incumbent to undergo an initial background investigation and periodic re-screenings based on role sensitivity and company requirements. Employees in sensitive positions are required to fulfill a mandatory absence of 10 consecutive business days per calendar year, in alignment with risk management and operational integrity standards

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
