Join a high-volume fertility clinic as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in preparing patients and providing a warm, supportive experience. This role involves obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing phlebotomy, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a seamless clinic flow.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and provide a warm, supportive experience in a high-volume fertility clinic.
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs using both manual and electronic methods.
- Update patient information in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Perform phlebotomy with precision while ensuring patient comfort and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups, coordinating care to maintain smooth clinic flow.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
- Ensure exam rooms and clinical spaces are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and care teams to deliver a seamless, patient-centered experience.
Essential Skills
- Medical assisting experience.
- Phlebotomy experience, with certification and externship or 6+ months of hands-on experience.
- Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent).
- Experience with various draw methods, needles, and syringes.
- Strong general technology skills and experience with EMR systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
- MA Cert and/or CPT certifications preferred but not required.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach.

- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Work Environment
The role is based at a traditional clinic with patient examination rooms, an ambulatory surgery center, and an embryology/IVF lab equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The schedule is Monday to Friday with an 8-hour shift starting between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM. Weekend and holiday rotations are required. The clinic provides clean branded scrubs daily, which are laundered on-site. Staff must bring their own lock for lockers provided for personal belongings. Parking is not free; staff must arrange and pay for their own parking.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
