Job Summary
Provides high-level administrative and operational support to the SVP Finance, who leads financial planning, capital investment oversight, and performance reporting for AEP Transmission. Acts as the SVP's gatekeeper and chief of operations, keeping priorities and executive commitments on track.
Job Description
What you’ll do:
- Manage a complex calendar across AEP Transmission leadership, corporate finance, the President's office, and external stakeholders
- Support the SVP's direct reports with scheduling, meeting coordination, and administrative needs
- Collaborate with peer executives and their teams to align calendars, share information, and coordinate cross-functional work
- Prepare and coordinate materials for executive and regulatory meetings; track deadlines for monthly close, forecasts, and capital plan cycles
- Screen and prioritize inquiries, route issues to the right finance leaders, and follow up on action items
- Coordinate travel, expenses, and logistics for meetings, site visits, and conferences
- Handle confidential financial, personnel, and regulatory information with discretion
- Support team operations: onboarding, offsites, recognition events, and department budget tracking
What we’re looking for:
Executive Administrative Assistant SG5
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent education and /or experience. Some college and/or office administrator training is desirable.
Experience:
- 5 yrs or more of diversified thorough exp gained from work in various areas within the organization or similar administrative exp.
- Must be computer/PC competent and have exp in utilizing general administrative office procedures and practices.
In addition:
- Advanced Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with systems like Workday and PeopleSoft
- Excellent judgment, organization, and written communication
- Proven ability to anticipate needs and manage competing priorities independently
- Bachelor's degree preferred
