Respite Provider

This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Job Posting:
A family is seeking a patient, dependable, and actively engaged provider to support a Non-verbal Teen Male after school and during flexible respite hours.
This teen enjoys being outside, swimming, making forts/tents, sensory play with things that are soft or stuffed, watching TV, and playing with his dog and cats.
Teen will be pick up from school in Sussex and provide transportation home to Menomonee Falls by Respite Provider. Respite will be provided in the client's home by the respite provider.
Schedule:
- Pick up child from School in the Sussex and provide transportation home to Menomonee Falls by Respite Provider.
- Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- Approximately 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Additional flexible hours may be available

Wages:
- $20.28 per hour for Daily Living Skills.

Job Duties:
- Pick up from school in Sussex and provide transportation home to Menomonee Falls.
- Respite will be provided in the child's home.
- Assist with toileting and developing toileting independence
- Provide direct care and support in daily routines and activities
- Engage the teen in meaningful activities that promote cognition and social interaction
- Be patient with the teen, allowing him to complete tasks successfully at his own pace and be positive with all interactions.
- Be consistent and firm with boundaries, all while remaining calm and kind
- Clean up after activities and meals in the home.

Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Criminal/Caregiver background check.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required.
- Compassionate individuals with teens or respite care experience preferred.
- Experience with children with development disability or working with children who are non-verbal preferred.
- Individual attending High School and College encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work in a pet friendly environment.
