Your Role on Our Team

As the Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Quality Engineer specializing in battery-powered tools, you will be a contributing member of our Advanced Manufacturing team, supporting the quality strategies for future assembly and manufacturing systems. Focus will be on executing control plans, supporting SPC requirements, helping establish quality targets, and contributing to risk mitigation plans for advanced, new technology systems, under the guidance of senior quality engineering leadership. You will collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to help implement quality standards and processes in the production of consumer battery-powered tools.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

- Support development of system-level control plans and risk mitigation plans for Advanced Manufacturing Systems, under direction of senior/principal quality engineers.

- Execute DOE's to support full-system SPC strategies.

- Support alignment of control plan elements and processes for assigned programs, including SPC and in-process control requirements, to enable data connectivity strategy.

- Perform defect root cause analysis and support implementation of corrective actions.

- Develop and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEAs) for assigned manufacturing systems, identifying process risks and supporting implementation of effective prevention and detection controls.

- Plan and execute Measurement System Analyses (MSAs), including Gage R&R studies, to verify measurement systems are capable and suitable for process control and production release.

- Identify opportunities for process optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce defects within assigned systems.

- Support training of project quality engineering teams during system implementation.

- Provide project and production support for newly launched systems.

- Review existing process control plans and process monitoring data to support continuous improvement on assigned process steps.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

- 3+ years of highly successful experience in a related field.

- Highly motivated self-starter.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams.

- Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

- Quality Engineering experience with battery and/or motor manufacturing processes.

- Experience with various weld methods and technologies.

- Familiarity with ISO-9001, TS16949, or VDA 6.3 process auditing.

- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
