Job Description

Who You’ll Work With

Arista is seeking a new Senior Commodity Manager, Rack Integration to support a brand new product segment, dealing with leading edge products for our most prominent customers. This is a critical role, ensuring that Arista Rack Integration business meets customer driven requirements, and supports revenue, quality and time to market. You will work with an experienced internal cross-disciplinary team, including product management, demand planning, product development, supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics.

Externally you will help foster a strong network of technology and supply chain partners. We are looking for a hands-on leader, interested in being part of a world-class organization while building a strong functional team. Strong communications, problem solving, and communication skills are essential.

What You’ll Do

- Collaborate with internal stake-holders to create, implement, and maintain strategic sourcing strategy for Arista’s Rack Integration to support customer & company requirements.
- Ownership of RFP process, proposal evaluation & supplier assessment, and supplier selection.
- Manage the relationship with key Rack Integration partners as well as material suppliers.
- Coordinate with our product management team, engineering team, material team and integration partners to assure timely delivery of all prototypes and production units to our customers. 
- In partnership with NPI engineers, lead efforts around capacity planning and capex roll out
- Negotiations and management of cost models for suppliers to include hard requirements (such as price, volume discounts, etc.) and soft requirements (such as expertise, technical backup, etc.) in the context of Total Acquisition Cost (TAC) and Total Opportunity Cost (TOC).
- Identification and delivery of opportunities for cost reduction.
- Lead negotiator for contract negotiations (SOWs, MPAs, LTAs, Development Agreements, etc.)
- Ensures appropriate performance measure (Technology, Quality, Cost and Delivery) of supply base and feedback of results through regular QBRs.
- Working with the site supply chain leads, this individual will manage relationships with suppliers on behalf of Arista.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations or Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred. 
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a networking environment with mechanical commodity and material management positions.  Combined new product introduction, operations, and supplier management experience is highly desirable.
- Understanding of rack integration industry, component vendors ecosystem, and manufacturing processes
- Experience working and negotiating with external partners
- Experience working with sales and external customers
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to listen and simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences, and prepare summaries for executives and stakeholders 
- Utilize strong team building abilities to lead cross-functional process improvement teams and lead change within the organization. 
- Ability to coordinate cross-site, multi-functional objectives

Additional Information

Compensation Information:

The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $142,000 to $188,000.

Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection.
