- Return incomplete records for correction and validate administrative closure when documentation requirements are satisfied.
- Maintain a reliable maintenance and failure history by asset and functional location.
- Audit the work order jobs, to make sure these were closed as requested.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
- Development and create Preventive and predictive maintenance for each asset.
- Administer the master preventive-maintenance calendar and ensure tasks are generated and planned on time.
- Verify that maintenance frequencies and task content reflect asset criticality, manufacturer recommendations, operating conditions, regulatory needs, and failure history.
- Create and improve inspection checklists, standard job plans, and maintenance instructions.
- Coordinate predictive activities such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis, and other condition-monitoring methods.
- Analyze overdue, repetitive, ineffective, or non-value-added preventive tasks and recommend improvements for approval.

- Review historical parts consumption and avoid releasing jobs that lack essential resources unless an approved contingency exists.
Backlog and Priority Management
- Maintain an accurate, visible, and prioritized maintenance backlog.
- Classify work by safety and environmental risk, asset criticality, production impact, quality impact, due date, and age.
- Separate work that is ready to schedule from work awaiting engineering, materials, access, approval, or additional information.
