Position Summary:
The Registration and Records Assistant assists in adding, maintaining, and updating client information in the Management Information System (MIS). The Registration and Records Assistant is also responsible for tracking and monitoring existing data for clients in the MIS. General responsibilities include working closely with the clinicians to ensure that service opens, closures, and transfers get completed.
Responsibilities:
Provides assistance to behavioral health department in chart data entry and quality control
- Review electronic medical record data for completeness and accuracy
- Data entry for openings
- Complete 180-day and 90-day periodic reviews
- Complete transfers, openings, & closings for clients
- Work with other staff to ensure continuity of client services
- Maintenance of client electronic health record information information in the MIS
- Enter case staffings
- Send documents through DocuSign
- Send referrals for case management services
- Run monthly reports
Provides support to Registration and Records team
- Register and maintain client information in the MIS
- Uploading DocuSign packets for intakes
- Back up coverage for new client intakes
Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
This position normally requires the physical demands of sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, talking, hearing and adequate vision on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time.
Non-Physical Requirements:
Education
- High school diploma required. Associate degree in related field preferred.
- Completion of recognized course in data entry or medical office operation preferred
Experience
- 2 years of experience in data entry within a collaborative team environment required
Special Skills
- Knowledgeable of community mental health system and requirements
- Ability to manage high detail administrative tasks
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Team player
Employment is conditional upon:
- Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Wage Range: $21.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
