The Opportunity: Defining the Product Behind the AI Factory

Spark™ is Crusoe’s modular AI data center product line, and we're looking for an experienced and versatile Product Manager to own the Spark roadmap and product requirements. You will author the Spark PRD, set the multi-year product roadmap, and make the calls that define what the next generation of Spark looks like . This role sits at the intersection of physical product management and high-performance computing. You will have the opportunity to partner with experts from across the organization - from Cloud Product, Sales, Manufacturing, Construction, and Field Ops - to synthesize must-haves and nice-to-haves into a cohesive

What You'll Be Working On:

I. Product Strategy & Roadmap

- Roadmap Ownership: Own and maintain the multi-year Spark modular data center product roadmap.
- PRD Authorship: Author the Spark Product Requirements Document, translating stakeholder inputs into clear, prioritized, and testable product-level requirements.
- Architecture-Level Product Recommendations: Analyze, recommend, and defend product-defining decisions.
- GPU & Rack-Scale Fluency: Stay conversant in AI compute roadmaps and rack-scale architecture trends to make sound Spark product decisions and to partner effectively with the Group Product Manager, Edge Compute where the two roadmaps intersect.
- Customer Voice: Research, interview, and synthesize the inputs from the various “customers” of the Spark modular data center

II. Requirements Ownership & Cross-Functional Partnership

- The PM / TPM Partnership: Work in lockstep with the Spark Technical Project Management team to coordinate the roadmap to project execution hand-off.
- Requirements Discipline: Understand and enforce the distinction between market, product, and engineering requirements
- Engineering Partnership: Work directly with electrical, mechanical, and network engineering leads to pressure-test feasibility against product intent, and quantify tradeoffs.
- Edge Compute Alignment: Partner with the Group Product Manager, Edge Compute, to keep the Spark hardware roadmap and edge product strategy in sync, particularly around GPU generation cut-ins and rack architecture choices that affect both.

III. Execution & Continuous Improvement

- Phase Gate Partnership: Support the Spark Business Unit and Project Management team in bringing phase gate rigor to development programs, providing the product perspective at each milestone review.
- Acceptance Criteria: Define the product-level acceptance criteria that a new Spark generation must hit before it ships.
- Field Feedback Loop: Track how deployed Spark units perform against their product intent (cost/MW, deployment velocity, reliability) and feed those learnings back into the roadmap.

IV. Commercial & Customer Partnership

- Narrative & Advocacy: Serve as Spark's internal and external champion, pitching the product vision to customers, partners, and executive stakeholders.
- Customer-Facing Requirements: Sit in on customer and field conversations, converting real deployment feedback directly into PRD-level requirements.
- Pricing & Unit Economics: Own pricing and packaging inputs for Spark, balancing deployment economics, customer flexibility, and long-term returns.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

- Product roadmap expertise: A track record of owning progressively complex and cutting edge multi-year product roadmaps and multiple wins bringing novel products to market.
- High-Performance Compute Experience: Direct experience with high-performance compute, data center, or similarly demanding compute infrastructure.
- A Passion for Good Requirements: A genuine passion for writing excellent product requirements, and a clear understanding of the distinction between market, product, and engineering requirements, and how they should cascade from one to the next.
- GPU & Rack-Scale Literacy: Fluency in GPU roadmaps and rack-scale architecture.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: A track record of tight, effective partnership with technical program/project managers and hardware engineering leads on first-of-a-kind builds.
- Exceptional Communication: The ability to write with clarity and precision, and to influence senior stakeholders and executives on product direction.

Bonus Points

- Direct experience specifying or making tradeoffs on data center electrical architecture.
- Experience in modular/prefab construction, distributed energy, or advanced manufacturing product lines.
- Background operating a formal MRD / PRD / ERD stage-gate process at a company developing first-of-a-kind products and technologies
- Advanced degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

This Role Is Not a Good Fit If:

- You've only managed software products or roadmaps.
- You want to own day-to-day execution and schedule, rather than product definition.
- You haven't shipped multiple, high-complexity physical/hardware products before.

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $225,000-$255,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
