Channel Dental Care is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive practice where no two days are exactly the same, you’ll work alongside great people and you’ll play an important part in creating a positive experience for every patient.
And there’s a pretty great perk too… you’ll have one RDO every fortnight!
Job Description
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll be an important part of the clinical team, supporting our dentists and making sure our patients receive exceptional care.
Your day will include:
- Assisting dentists and clinicians during a variety of dental procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring everything is ready to go
- Setting up and packing down rooms between patients
- Preparing instruments, materials and equipment
- Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
- Following strict infection control and sterilisation procedures
- Supporting patients throughout their appointments and helping them feel comfortable
- Providing a warm and friendly welcome to patients
- Maintaining clean, organised and well-stocked clinical areas
- Assisting with stock management and ordering when required
- Supporting the wider practice team with day-to-day tasks
- Working closely with clinicians and the wider team to keep the day running smoothly
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who brings energy, reliability and a great attitude to work every day.
You’ll ideally be:
- Friendly, approachable and confident with patients
- Reliable and organised
- A team player who enjoys working with others
- Comfortable working in a busy clinical environment
- Calm under pressure and able to juggle competing priorities
- Someone who takes pride in their work
- Keen to learn and develop their dental assisting skills
- Passionate about providing great patient care
- Hold a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or be willing to obtain one
Previous dental assisting experience is highly regarded , but attitude is just as important. If you’re enthusiastic, willing to learn and genuinely enjoy helping people, we want to hear from you!
