Opportunity Overview
Teradyne is seeking a Pilot Line Test Technician to support New Product Introduction activities and the qualification, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated test equipment products and processes. This role applies substantial job knowledge to a wide range of assignments, uses judgment to resolve moderately difficult issues, and works with limited daily instruction.
- Execute, verify, and improve established test and calibration procedures for electronic PCBAs and assemblies using automated test equipment platforms.
- Analyze and troubleshoot hardware and software test failures using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, schematics, board-layout files, and approved software tools.
- Support new product introduction activities during RPD phases 3, 4, and 5, including product bring-up, data collection, issue reporting, and technical communication with engineering.
- Communicate hardware, software, process, and equipment issues clearly, with data-based findings, recommended actions, and timely status updates.
- Contribute to yield analysis, reliability activities, risk identification, lessons-learned reviews, and TPM practices.
- Maintain test systems and equipment, and collaborate with Test Engineering on quality, reliability, and repair objectives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guidance, reports, and training material; share knowledge with team members.
- Represent Pilot Line in cross-functional discussions and provide technical support at other company locations when required.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Technical degree in Electronics or a related discipline; progress toward a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years of related technical experience in
- Understanding of electronic principles, automated test equipment fundamentals, company products, and troubleshooting methods.
- Using oscilloscopes and digital multimeters and in interpreting electronic signals, schematics, and board-layout information.
- Statistical analysis, yield calculation, reliability processes, TPM, ESD, and IPC criteria.
- Basic SQL, VBA, or related programming and data-tool knowledge is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications

- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to participate in technical meetings and present findings; A2 to B1 proficiency or higher is preferred.
