About the role
A new store opening means new opportunities, new customers and a chance to help shape the future of Commercial at Bunnings. We're looking for an Account Manager to join our team and drive commercial growth across the Taupō region while also supporting customers throughout Hawke's Bay and Napier.
This is an exciting newly created role, designed to capitalise on the opportunities that come with expanding our footprint and strengthening our presence in the region. You'll have the freedom to build new relationships, uncover growth opportunities and become a trusted partner to builders, trades and local businesses.

What's involved
This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact by helping grow our commercial customer base and establishing Bunnings as a trusted partner across the region.
You'll have the chance to:
- Build and develop new customer relationships across Taupō, Hawke's Bay and Napier
- Identify new business opportunities and create strategies to convert them into long-term partnerships
- Work closely with builders, tradespeople and local organisations to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Strengthen market presence following the opening of our new store and help drive commercial growth across the region
- Collaborate with store teams and Commercial colleagues to deliver the very best Price, Range and Service for customers
- Use customer insights and market knowledge to identify opportunities, respond to competitor activity and grow market share
- Manage and grow a sales portfolio while delivering strong commercial outcomes for both customers and the business
About You
You're someone who enjoys building relationships and creating opportunities from the ground up. You thrive in a customer-facing environment, are comfortable starting conversations with new prospects and enjoy helping businesses find solutions that support their success.
You'll be joining a supportive and high-performing team that values collaboration, customer focus and shared success. Whether you're meeting customers on site, collaborating with store teams or identifying new opportunities in the market, you'll bring a proactive approach and a genuine commitment to delivering great outcomes.

What you'll need
- Experience in Account Management, Business Development or Commercial Sales
- Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and grow customer relationships
- Strong networking, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence engaging with customers both face-to-face and over the phone
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and deliver results
- Experience working with builders, trades, construction or a related industry will be highly regarded
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied territory
- A commitment to safety and delivering outstanding customer service
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the region
