The RBC Wealth Management Generalist Program

Are you ready to accelerate into a leadership role? The RBC Wealth Management Generalist Program is a unique rotational experience that positions you to become a senior leader in RBC Wealth Management.

During this 2-year rotational program, you will gain an understanding of the day-to-day operations of several wealth management businesses and a high-level understanding of the entire RBC Wealth Management enterprise. As a Generalist, you will complete three 8-month rotations where you will collaborate with leaders on complex assignments while developing your skills through curated training. With participants based in both Canada and the US, plus international rotation opportunities (UK, APAC), you'll build a global, enterprise-wide leadership mindset—critical for RBC's future leaders.

We're looking for exceptional early-career leaders who think strategically, lead boldly, and thrive on building platforms—not just deepening single specialties.

What will you do?

You'll embark on three strategically designed 8-month rotations across RBC Wealth Management's diverse lines of business. Recent rotations our graduates have undertaken include:

- Investment Products Advisory Group  (GAM) - driving investment product strategy and market positioning
- PH&N Investment Counsel  — advancing sophisticated investment solutions for institutional and private clients
- Investment Solutions and Products  in Hong Kong — shaping digital innovation and client experience across APAC markets

You'll contribute to priority business initiatives requiring strategic thinking and analytical rigor, supported by one-to-one mentorship with senior leaders, curated professional development and training, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and connections across RBC.

What do you need to succeed?

We're not hiring senior leaders today. We're identifying the people who will become them—and accelerating that journey.

- 3–7 years of professional experience with early evidence of leadership in practice —not just credentials.
- Master's graduate (MBA strongly preferred; select specializations considered) graduating before program starts in June/July 2027.
- Strategic thinker drawn to organizational leadership , not just technical specialization.
- Comfort with ambiguity: Comfort navigating ambiguity with structured problem-solving skills
- Technologically curious & AI-aware: You don't need to be a technologist, but you understand how AI and digital transformation are reshaping financial services—and you're energized by that change.
- Bold communicator: You speak with clarity, take a position, follow through, and aren't afraid to challenge thoughtfully.
- Breadth orientation: You're drawn to the platform —how all pieces connect—not just one line of business.

- Work arrangement:  Associates will be required to work in the office on the same cadence as their team.

Selection Process :

- Post application review, a select set of candidates will be asked to take part in 2 rounds of virtual interviews as part of our first round in the selection process.
- The second stage of the process will include a case study and/or assessment.
- Those invited back for the last round will take part in virtual or in-person final recruitment activities in Toronto.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:
$90,000.00 - $140,000.00

The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
