The Information Security Team plays a critical role in enabling UniSuper's Technology and Delivery Strategy by delivering secure, resilient and innovative services and platforms. We remain committed to partner with business units to provide business driven scale and simplification, guidance and delivery of the Enterprise Portfolio and technologies required to enable business capabilities and support the execution of UniSuper’s Strategy.

The role

The key focus of this role is to support and deliver application security activities, including security consulting, assessments and testing. You will contribute specialist expertise across secure design, development and testing while supporting development teams to understand and address security risks. Furthermore, you will:

- Support the design and development of secure solutions
- Deliver application security testing, including code reviews, penetration testing and automated testing
- Analyse applications and threat models to support appropriate risk mitigation
- Support developer education and adoption of application security tooling
- Contribute application security advice and recommendations to development teams
- Improve security procedures, standards, guidelines and technical documentation

About you

You bring deep application security knowledge, strong analytical capability and an interest in solving complex security problems. You communicate clearly, work effectively with stakeholders and contribute confidently both independently and as part of a team. In addition, you have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or equivalent
- Knowledge of security infrastructure, cloud environments, vulnerabilities and emerging threats
- Experience with programming language structures and operations, as well as, application security assessment tools and penetration testing methodologies
- In-depth knowledge of network mapping, vulnerability scanning and web application testing
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and research skills
