We're looking for a commercially minded and highly motivated Commercial Associate to join our Network Commercial team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious professional who wants to help shape strategic energy projects from their earliest stages and play a key role in delivering infrastructure that will have a lasting impact on Australia

The opportunity

In this role, you'll work alongside senior leaders and subject matter experts to help evaluate, structure and develop major network and growth projects. From project origination through to investment approvals, you'll contribute to building compelling business cases, shaping commercial strategies, supporting funding pathways and helping ensure projects are positioned for long-term success.

You'll gain unique exposure to some of the most important decisions facing the energy sector while engaging with executive leadership, project teams, finance, regulation, planning and delivery specialists across the business.

What you'll be doing

- Supporting the development of strategic infrastructure projects from concept through early-stage development.

- Contributing to investment cases, business cases, IRC submissions and Board papers.

- Analysing commercial, regulatory and financial pathways that support major project delivery.

- Conducting market and industry research to identify opportunities, trends and emerging developments.

- Working collaboratively with leaders and subject matter experts across planning, delivery, regulation and finance.

- Helping establish commercially robust project structures that balance risk, return and long-term value creation.

About you

You are curious, analytical and commercially driven. You enjoy solving complex problems and thrive when working across multiple stakeholders and disciplines.

You'll bring:

- 4-6+ years' experience in corporate finance, corporate strategy, strategy consulting, contract management, project development or a related discipline.

- Strong financial analysis and commercial evaluation capability.

- Exceptional research, written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

- A collaborative mindset and a passion for building trusted relationships across a business.

- Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, economics, law, business or a related field.
