Role Summary

As a Financial Accounting & Reporting Specialist , you'll be part of Global Finance Services (GFS), a team responsible for delivering high-quality accounting, reporting, and financial control activities across ING's global business.

You'll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, support month-end and year-end activities, prepare regulatory and management reports, and partner with stakeholders across the organization to continuously improve processes and controls.

About the Team

Global Finance Services supports accounting and reporting activities related to Financial Markets, Treasury, Lending, and Payment Services across ING. Working closely with colleagues in Amsterdam and Manila, you'll join an international team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

- Support product and general ledger accounting activities, including invoices, accruals, and asset management transactions.
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare regulatory, financial, and management reports and dashboards.
- Investigate accounting issues and help resolve reporting breaks.
- Perform reconciliations and ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data.
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies, IFRS requirements, and ING reporting standards.
- Partner with stakeholders to support reporting requirements, remediation activities, and process improvements.
- Contribute to projects, system enhancements, and testing activities when required.

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, or financial controls.
- Working knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
- Understanding of banking products, financial markets, or lending products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a global and multicultural environment.
- Proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering quality results.

Nice to Have

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting banking or financial services organizations.
- Exposure to regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience with UAT testing or finance-related system enhancements.
