Job requirements

Experience Range: With 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience building production Java microservices, including strong expertise in Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Cloud, and REST API design on Java 17. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of scalable Java microservices using Spring Boot 3.x and Spring Cloud, driving architectural decisions and code quality.
- Implement and optimize RESTful APIs on Java 17, ensuring high performance, security, and adherence to industry standards.
- Architect and maintain event-driven systems utilizing Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, DLT patterns, and idempotency mechanisms, to support reliable messaging workflows.
- Deploy, monitor, and operate services on AWS EKS with Helm, managing infrastructure components such as RDS/MySQL, DynamoDB, ElastiCache (Redis), and Cognito for high availability.
- Model relational data and manage persistence layers with JPA/Hibernate and Flyway migrations, ensuring transactional integrity and data consistency.
- Integrate complex enterprise systems including Salesforce, Magento, and payment gateway solutions to enable seamless interoperability and data exchange.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement observability using OpenTelemetry and Micrometer, and enforce secure-by-default development practices to ensure system reliability.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the development team. Required Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Java 17
- Expertise in Spring Boot 3.x and Spring Cloud
- REST API design and implementation
- Apache Kafka (producers/consumers, DLT patterns, idempotency)
- AWS messaging services (SQS, SNS, MSK)
- AWS EKS and Helm deployment
- Relational data modeling with JPA/Hibernate
- Flyway migrations
- MySQL and DynamoDB database management
- Experience with coding harnesses such as VS Code Copilot Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ElastiCache (Redis)
- Familiarity with enterprise system integration (Salesforce, Magento)
- Knowledge of payment/PSP gateway integration
- Experience with advanced observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Micrometer)
- Expertise in secure-by-default software development practices Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
- Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE certification
