Job Function

Core Technologies Bus Engineer

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded software drivers and bus frameworks.
- Develop and support communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, I3C, PCIe, and other platform bus technologies.
- Investigate and resolve driver issues reported by validation teams, integration teams, and customers.
- Work with hardware, firmware, and system teams to understand requirements and implement software solutions.
- Develop new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for embedded software platforms.
- Participate in board bring-up, platform enablement, and silicon validation activities.
- Execute unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of software components.
- Analyze logs, traces, crashes, and system behavior to identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Contribute to software architecture, design discussions, and code reviews.
- Follow software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices including design, implementation, testing, review, and maintenance.
- Create and maintain software design documents, test plans, and release documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of software milestones.

Required Skills

- 2-5 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Strong programming skills in C.
- Good understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller/microprocessor architecture.
- Knowledge of RTOS or embedded operating system concepts.
- Understanding of interrupt handling, synchronization, multitasking, and memory management.
- Familiarity with driver development and debugging techniques.
- Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, I3C, USB, or PCIe.
- Experience using debugging tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, or oscilloscopes is a plus.
- Exposure to Git, version control systems, and software development processes.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to Linux, RTOS, UEFI, Android, Zephyr, or similar embedded platforms.
- Knowledge of device drivers, DMA, power management, and interrupt frameworks.
- Familiarity with multiprocessor or multicore systems.
- Understanding of firmware-software-hardware interactions.

Education

BE / BTech / MTech in:

- Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Computer Science Engineering (CSE)‌

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
