Warehouse Training Coordinator

What you’ll Do

As the Warehouse Training Coordinator, you will build workforce capability by delivering structured training, coaching, competency assessment, and onboarding support. This role also contributes to warehouse operations when required, while maintaining a clear focus on safe work practices, process consistency, quality and productivity.

- Deliver structured training, refresher training, new starter onboarding and cross-skilling activities.
- Coach team members by demonstrating tasks, observing performance and providing clear, practical feedback.
- Conduct competency observations and assessments in accordance with approved procedures, document outcomes accurately and support competency sign-off only when the required standards have been demonstrated.
- Complete and maintain accurate training, competency and cross-skilling records within required timeframes. Provide the Team Manager with clear updates on employee progress, identified capability gaps, outstanding training requirements and any concerns requiring follow-up.
- Lead by example through safe behaviour, positive communication and consistent work standards.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate development actions.
- Perform productive warehouse and manual handling tasks when required to support volume, service levels and business priorities.
- Meet all applicable safety, quality, productivity and compliance expectations while working operationally.
- Provide immediate task guidance and corrective instruction where appropriate.
- Promptly escalate recurring performance issues, attendance concerns, conduct matters, safety breaches or other concerns requiring formal management action to the Team Manager.

What Experience and Education You Need.

- Demonstrated experience performing key warehouse functions in a logistics, distribution or cold storage environment, with sound knowledge of relevant systems, equipment and operating procedures.
- Consistent record of safe work practices, reliability, punctuality and strong work standards.
- Ability to explain tasks clearly in a simple, practical and supportive manner
- Experience supporting new starters, training team members or coaching others through skill development.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback while recognising when matters require escalation to the Team Manager.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, including the ability to adapt training to different learning needs, maintain accurate records and communicate capability concerns clearly to operational leaders.
