Role Purpose
The Senior Manager, Sales Channel Growth Partner is a newly established position created to support sales transformation and strategic channel change initiatives across Chubb Life Hong Kong. The incumbent will serve as a strategic catalyst, responsible for building future-ready capabilities, accelerating sales channel expansion, and functioning as a trusted partner to line management on talent and growth strategies across key distribution segments, including MCV, Wealth, and High Net Worth (HNW).
Key Responsibilities
Sales Transformation & Channel Strategy
- Drive and support the execution of sales transformation initiatives, including structural changes, channel redesigns, and distribution capability upgrades.
- Identify gaps and opportunities within the current sales channel model and propose scalable, future-oriented solutions aligned with organizational strategy.
- Collaborate with Agency, Broker, HNW, and Wealth leadership to ensure full alignment of growth strategies across all distribution channels.
Capability Building
- Serve as an internal consultant to line managers on overseas talent strategies for MCV, Wealth, and HNW distribution initiatives.
- Oversee the end-to-end agent and advisor acquisition process, encompassing sourcing, assessment, onboarding, and capability development.
- Support on onboarding and capability-building programs for incoming sales talent across relevant channels.
Sales Channel Compensation
- Design and optimize market-competitive sales incentive schemes across all channels, ensuring alignment with business KPIs and clear reward differentiation to drive high performance.
- Monitor competitor incentive models and market trends to ensure compensation remains competitive and effective at retaining top-tier sales talent.
- Administer the end-to-end plan lifecycle, including sales target setting, performance calculation, and payout validation to ensure accuracy and governance.
Stakeholder Management & Advisory
- Act as a key interface between the HR function and front-line sales leadership to ensure alignment between people strategies and business priorities.
- Provide expert counsel to senior leaders on headcount planning, role design, and workforce readiness in support of channel growth objectives.
- Partner with the HR function on workforce analytics, talent pipeline tracking, and structured management reporting.
- Liaise with the Distribution Compensation team to support ongoing governance of compensation plans, transitions, or structural changes if any.
Change Management
- Lead or co-lead cross-functional projects relating to organizational design planning, manpower review, new market entry, and agent productivity enhancement.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 8 to 12 years in distribution management, sales channel partnering roles within financial services or insurance
- Deep and demonstrating understanding of life insurance distribution channels, including Agency, Broker, Wealth, HNW/MCV
- Demonstrated experience in designing and managing distribution compensation schemes within insurance or financial services; solid understanding of corporate compensation frameworks or benefits design; ability to apply compensation principles to distribution talent decisions.
- Strategic thinking, executive stakeholder management, project management, and change leadership
- Commercially minded, structured, proactive, resilient, detail-oriented, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear management materials and present insights confidently to senior stakeholders
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required
- Bachelor’s degree of above in Business Administration, or a related discipline
