Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, and Message Queue (MQ) validation. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the Capital Markets domain , along with hands-on expertise in Python and Selenium automation . The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of mission-critical financial applications through comprehensive testing strategies and automation solutions.

What You Will Be Doin g

- Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform end-to-end Manual Testing for web-based and distributed applications.
- Validate message processing through IBM MQ or equivalent Message Queue technologies.
- Design, execute, and maintain API test cases using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.
- Participate in requirement reviews, defect triage meetings, and release planning activities.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Python and Selenium WebDriver .
- Create reusable automation scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
- Ensure test coverage across functional, integration, system, and regression testing phases.
- Validate trade lifecycle workflows and market data processing within Capital Markets applications.
- Prepare test execution reports, quality metrics, and release sign-off documentation.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA best practices and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Testing

- Strong experience in Manual Testing .
- Experience in Functional, Integration, System, and Regression Testing.
- Hands-on experience with Defect Management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

API Testing

- Strong knowledge of REST APIs.
- Experience with Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or similar API testing tools.
- Ability to validate JSON/XML payloads and backend integrations.

MQ Testing

- Hands-on experience with IBM MQ , JMS, Kafka, or similar messaging technologies.
- Ability to validate message flows, queues, topics, and asynchronous processing.

Automation

- Strong programming skills in Python .
- Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver .
- Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of PyTest, Unittest, or Robot Framework is preferred.

Capital Markets Domain

- Strong understanding of Capital Markets concepts.
- Experience in: Equities
- Fixed Income
- Derivatives
- Trade Lifecycle
- Order Management Systems (OMS)
- Market Data Processing
- Clearing & Settlement
- Regulatory Reporting

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with SQL and database validation.
- Exposure to performance testing tools is an added advantage.
- ISTQB Certification is preferred.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
