In the role of Senior Accountant & Controller, you will operate as a versatile, hands-on finance generalist. You will manage end-to-end financial operations—from daily bookkeeping to high-level financial controlling and audit coordination—while leveraging modern AI tools and automation to streamline workflows, ensure precision, and elevate strategic impact.

This role is ideal for an experienced, forward-thinking finance professional who thrives in the evolving landscape where AI replaces routine task specialization with high-powered generalist execution and end-to-end ownership.

Your responsibilities:

- Monthly Closing & Reporting: Run the month-end close process and produce accurate monthly performance reports and variance analyses for leadership.
- End-to-End Accounting & Bookkeeping: Hands-on execution and oversight of day-to-day bookkeeping, general ledger integrity, and routine operational accounting tasks.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial statements preparation for group entities incl. cooperation with external accounting providers
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate external audits by preparing required documentation and serving as the primary point of contact
- Budget Controlling: Monitor departmental spending and enforce fiscal discipline to keep the organization within its financial guardrails
- Accuracy & Completeness: Prepare and oversee reconciliations and validate data integrity to ensure the total reliability of the general ledger
- AI & Automation Integration: Actively implement and optimize AI tools, workflows, and automated scripts to eliminate repetitive manual work, increase reporting speed, and boost efficiency across financial processes.

Your profile:

- Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or audit
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA, ACCA, CMA or similar qualification is preferred
- Technical & AI Skills: Proficiency in modern ERP systems (e.g., Odoo), advanced Excel capabilities, and demonstrated experience or enthusiasm for incorporating AI tools into everyday accounting and controlling workflows.
- Audit Background: Proven track record in managing external audits and implementing internal control frameworks
- Accounting Standards: Deep understanding of local GAAP and/or IFRS to ensure reporting compliance
- Generalist Mindset: A hands-on, adaptive approach with strong problem-solving skills, comfortable switching between granular bookkeeping details and macro-level controlling with high independence.
