About the role

As a Project Manager within the Integrated Services Team , you will lead the development and delivery of the activities that are required to enable the launch of a feasibility trial intended to assess the utility of a new blood product - leucodepleted low-titre group O whole blood (LTOWB) . Reporting to Value Chain Manager - Products, you will drive an integrated and standardised approach to project management and change control, ensuring delivery in accordance with the agreed work plan and timeframes while supporting Lifeblood’s business and strategic objectives.

The development & launch of this new LTOWB product requires implementation of a new process design, extended operational capability including test method verification and process validation, creation, and launch of effective trial governance arrangements. Role success will culminate in effective trial launch in Q1 2027-28.

- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in science or a related discipline

- Tertiary qualifications in project or change management, or equivalent experience.

- Experience working with a broad range of laboratory trials and test systems.

- Sound knowledge of quality systems and Good Manufacturing Practice, preferably within therapeutic products or medical devices is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated experience applying project management frameworks to guide projects from initiation through to completion.

- Knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment governing the manufacture of blood and blood components, medical devices, and in vitro diagnostic devices, including TGA regulations and NATA and NPAAC requirements.

- Proven ability to build effective interpersonal relationships, consult with stakeholders, and communicate clearly across a range of internal and external audiences.

- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through effective prioritisation, organisation, decision-making, and time management.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant software, supported by strong communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety.

- Strong attention to detail and well-developed critical-thinking skills.

This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity until October 2027, offering a hybrid work model. To support training and help the successful candidate gain a strong understanding of the organisation, the role may be office-based for the first one to two month.
