AVP/ Senior Associate, Financial Crime Advisory - Sanctions, Legal, Compliance & Secretariat

Responsibilities

- Provide expert Financial Crime Advisory to business units and stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and internal policies.
- Conduct reviews on financial crime related risk assessments on PEP relationship, specific high risk customer, and product and services, and provide support on risk decisions support to senior management.
- Manage and handle financial crime related projects and enhancement opportunities in a timely and efficient manner to enhanced financial crime risks controls.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to review and update financial crime compliance policies, procedures, systems and controls.
- Assist in preparing management reports, risk metrics, and regulatory submissions regarding financial crime compliance.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial crime compliance function, with a specific focus on AML/CFT advisory in banking and financial institution.
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulatory requirements, industry guide and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in handling high-risk relationshipu and managing ad hoc compliance queries.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to effectively advise business units.
- Professional certification in compliance (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) is highly advantageous.
