About this role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Automation QA Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and execution of automated and AI-assisted testing solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications.

This role is ideal for an early-career QA professional looking to build expertise in test automation, CI/CD, AI-enabled quality engineering, and modern software development practices.

About the role

- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications.

- Support the implementation of automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.

- Collaborate with senior engineers to identify test scenarios suitable for automation.

- Analyze test results and investigate automation failures.

- Apply AI-assisted tools to improve test design, test data generation, failure analysis, and automation maintenance under guidance from senior engineers.

Quality Assurance

- Review business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test cases and test plans.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Document defects clearly and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.

- Validate fixes and ensure production readiness.

Collaboration & Delivery

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and quality expectations.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Engineering function.

Continuous Improvement

- Support CI/CD testing activities and automated test execution pipelines.

- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, efficiency, and automation effectiveness.

- Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

- Explore opportunities to use AI and automation to reduce repetitive testing effort, improve defect triage, and accelerate release confidence.

About you

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 3 to 5 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.

- Basic knowledge of test automation tools such as Puppeteer, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

- Familiarity with programming languages such as, Python, JavaScript & TypeScript.

- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.

- Experience using version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket

- Awareness of AI-assisted development or testing tools, with an interest in applying AI responsibly to improve quality engineering outcomes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Team city, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.

- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

- Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, ADO.

- Exposure to AI-enabled testing, self-healing automation, intelligent defect analysis, or test generation tools.
