Product Localization Manager

As part of the Product & Launch Readiness (PLR) team, you will help lead the operational
execution that brings Apple’s hardware products into the hands of millions of customers across
Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
In this role, you will champion end-to-end product localization and regulatory compliance across
diverse, high-growth, and rapidly evolving markets. You will bridge complex country-specific
mandates with tangible business outcomes—translating technical, legal, and environmental
requirements into actionable product strategies, scalable Bill of Materials (BOM) architectures,

NPI & Launch Execution
• Localization Strategy & BOM Architecture: Partner with Worldwide (WW) and
regional cross-functional partners to define in-market localization requirements for every
NPI. Drive flawless execution through accurate, timely BOM creation, cut-ins, and roll-
ins.
• Component Readiness & Verification: Conduct and oversee First Article Inspections
(FAIs) for localized hardware components, packaging, and artwork to ensure 100%
compliance prior to market release.
• Regulatory Markings & Artwork Integration: Collaborate with global packaging and
hardware design teams to implement regional regulatory markings, country-specific
labels, and compliance artwork across all SKUs.

Regulatory Alignment & Risk Mitigation
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the operational nexus connecting Legal,
Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Compliance, Product Safety, Trade Compliance, and
Government Affairs to proactively anticipate and resolve in-country regulatory hurdles.
• Scalable Solution Design: Architect localization solutions that balance compliance rigor
with operational feasibility, cost efficiency, and supply chain scalability.
• Proactive Risk Intelligence & Management: Identify schedule, supply, and regulatory
risks early; leverage intelligent monitoring and structured risk-assessment models to
evaluate potential impacts and establish decisive mitigation roadmaps.

Strategic Influence & Continuous Improvement
• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the regional authority on target country regulations
and product specifications, connecting compliance decisions directly to time-to-market
and commercial impact.
• Process Modernization & Workflow Automation: Challenge the status quo by
leveraging modern digital tools, data-driven automation, and intelligent workflows to
streamline BOM validation, reduce manual operational overhead, and accelerate time-to-
market.
• Continuous System & Process Evolution: Drive ongoing business process
improvements across regional launch readiness workflows, ensuring operational models
remain simple, robust, scalable, and cost-effective as the Pacific region expands.

Minimum Qualifications

Matrix Leadership: Proven ability to navigate, influence, and lead cross-functional
initiatives in a complex, fast-paced global matrix organization without direct authority.
Analytical Problem Solving: Exceptional structured thinking and project management
acumen; skilled at synthesizing ambiguous, incomplete regulatory and operational data
into clear business cases and decisive action plans.
Execution & Detail Focus: High operational agility with a "hands-on" orientation;
demonstrated meticulousness in managing detailed technical data (BOMs, regulatory
texts, component specs).
Communication & Stakeholder Management: Superior verbal and written executive
communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate complex regulatory and
operational impacts to cross-functional partners.
Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactive drive to challenge established workflows
and build more resilient, scalable operational processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive professional experience across
international supply chain operations, technical program management, or product
lifecycle management (experience in the Pacific/APAC region strongly preferred).
Domain Breadth: Demonstrated expertise across multiple supply chain disciplines—
including New Product Introduction (NPI), order-to-fulfillment, demand/supply planning,
logistics, manufacturing, and regulatory certification.
Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required; MBA or advanced degree in Supply
Chain, Engineering, or Business is a plus.
