We have an opportunity for a Sports Massage Therapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver sports massage therapy to treat soft tissue dysfunction, reduce muscle tension, and support recovery from injury or exercise.
- Adapt massage techniques to suit individual patient needs, conditions, and treatment goals.
- Carry out basic assessments of posture, range of motion, and soft tissue condition to inform therapy approach.
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain treatment techniques, benefits, and aftercare advice.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection prevention, and professional conduct.
- Keep accurate, timely records of all treatments delivered, including patient feedback and progress notes.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Strong hands-on massage skills and knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and injury recovery.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Understanding of professional boundaries and patient confidentiality.
