Communications Officer

Toryglen or Priesthill based with a balance of home and office working

£33,397 - £35,144 per year

35 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Communications Officer to join our team based at either Toryglen or Priesthill. This role sits within Sanctuary's Customer Communications team and supports communications activity across Sanctuary Scotland. Working across both customer and corporate communications, the role will create engaging content and communications campaigns for customers, colleagues, stakeholders and local communities.

The role forms part of the wider Communications department, which manages brand strategy, digital, regional, internal, corporate and strategic communications across the Group.

The role of Communications Officer will include:

- Create compelling content across a range of channels, including customer communications, internal communications, web content, video, PR, social media, presentations and publications

- Support the delivery of customer and corporate communications projects and campaigns, and stakeholder and media communications activity, across Scotland

- Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support their communications needs

- Write, edit and publish content across a variety of channels, ensuring communications are accurate, engaging and accessible

- Brief and liaise with designers, digital specialists and external suppliers to help deliver effective communications across all channels

Skills and experiences:

- Experience in a communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or similar role, with an understanding of a range of communications channels and activities

- Experience creating engaging content for different audiences across channels including web, social media, internal communications, video and publications

- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging content

- Experience supporting communications projects and campaigns and managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

- Proven experience analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions

- Knowledge of website content management systems, design software and printing processes would be advantageous
