Summary Section

Candidate will be responsible for Piping Design of Technology Projects in association with KBR’s Technology Business Unit at Houston

Responsibilities:

1.Responsible for the quality, budget, and respect of project schedule for piping material tasks

2. Reviews the Client’s technical documentation and requirements

3. Responsible for the design of all piping components

4. Issues project piping material specification and piping components data sheets

5. Performs wall thickness calculations of pipes

6. Issues technical bid evaluation for all piping components offers

7. Issues technical part of requisitions for all piping components purchase orders

8. Reviews and approves vendors documents

9. Maintains project technical files and update Company standards

10. Performs the inter-disciplines checking for the part of documents in accordance with the scope of piping material section

11. Checks the material take off issued by the drafting office

12. Prepares mechanical valve data sheets for the body of motorized valves

13. The candidate should be proficient in use of International / National codes and Standards related to piping Engineering.

14. Preparation, review and issuance of PMS, VMS, specification & standards.

15. Responsible for preparation, review and issue of documents related to piping materials MTO for procurement, MR / PR, etc.

16. Preparation and review of datasheets for piping specialty items Technical. bid analysis. Vendors offer / drawing review. Interface with other departments for providing design input. Interaction with Vendors / Clients / Third party members.

17. Knowledge of relevant Code and Standards. Knowledge of ASME , API, EN, BS etc piping material codes. Highly motivated with an innovative and analytical mind. Demonstrates ability to work in a team. Prior experience in technical bid analysis.

Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

- Relevant experience of 10-15 years in Piping stress Analysis.
- Graduate in B.Tech./ B.E.(Mechanical)
- Comfortable in travelling for work.
- Manages key business relationships with clients and with Technology Business Unit. Managerial teams in India and Houston.
