About this role

About OQtima

OQtima is a regulated forex and CFD broker offering some of the lowest trading commissions on MT4 and MT5, from $1.50. We have offices in Barcelona and Limassol and run a lean operation where decisions are made quickly and results are visible to everyone.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Head of Marketing from the forex or CFD industry to take full responsibility for how we acquire and retain clients. You'll report directly to senior management and own the marketing strategy, budget and results across our international markets.

This role suits someone who is used to being judged on numbers. You'll work with a carefully managed budget and a small group of agencies and freelancers, so you need to be comfortable setting the strategy and doing much of the hands-on work yourself.

What You'll Be Measured On

- Growth in FTDs and funded accounts

- Cost per acquisition and return on marketing spend

- Registration to FTD conversion rates

- Client retention and activity after the first deposit

- Quality and volume of new IB and affiliate partners

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and budget

- Build and own the annual marketing plan, with targets agreed with management.

- Allocate budget across paid media, IB and affiliate, CRM and content, based on proven return.

- Report performance to management every week, and present a full review every quarter.

- Decide which markets to prioritise based on acquisition cost and client value.

Acquisition

- Run and optimise paid campaigns on Google, Meta and TikTok, either directly or through agencies.

- Test creatives, landing pages, audiences and offers regularly, and act on the results.

- Localise campaigns for different markets and languages.

IB and affiliate marketing

- Support the growth of the IB and affiliate network with campaigns, materials and activation programms.

- Work closely with the business development team on partner acquisition.

- Monitor traffic quality and spot abuse or bonus hunting early.

Retention and CRM

- Build lifecycle campaigns covering onboarding, first deposit, activation and reactivation.

- Use cohort data to understand where clients drop off and address it.

- Run promotions and trading competitions that bring in genuine, active traders.

Analytics and reporting

- Own tracking and attribution, so every FTD can be linked to its source.

- Keep dashboards accurate and make them useful to management.

- Keep an eye on competitor pricing, offers and campaigns.

Compliance

- Make sure all marketing, including partner materials, meets regulatory advertising rules and risk warning requirements in every market.

- Work with our compliance team to review campaigns before launch.

Requirements

- At least 5 years in marketing, including a minimum of 3 years at a forex or CFD broker. This is essential.

- Proven results in growing FTDs and funded accounts, with figures you can share at interview.

- Experience managing a marketing budget and improving CPA without relying on higher spend.

- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads and analytics tools.

- Strong understanding of broker metrics such as CPA, CAC, LTV, ROAS and conversion rates.

- Experience managing agencies and freelancers.

- Knowledge of European CFD advertising rules.

- Fluent English.

Nice to Have

- Experience with IB or affiliate programms at a regulated broker

- HubSpot or similar CRM experience

- Familiarity with MT4/MT5 as a marketer or trader

- Experience launching campaigns in new markets

What We Offer

- A base salary of €42,000–€55,000, depending on experience

- A performance bonus of up to €10,000 a year, linked to FTD and funded account targets

- Full ownership of the marketing function, reporting directly to senior management
