Overview

The Software Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and operating software solutions that address customer and business requirements. The role requires end-to-end ownership throughout the software development lifecycle; from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation, deployment, production support, and maintenance. The engineer will work in an agile environment where requirements and priorities may evolve dynamically.

Responsibilities

- Develop software for AppLogics leading-edge platforms in collaboration with solution architects and other technical leaders.

- Follow AppLogic processes to ensure requirements are satisfied.

- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership across the SDLC, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, production operations, and ongoing maintenance

- Deliver quality working software by adopting industry best practices & AppLogic processes

- Deliver high-quality, high-performance and maintainable code that is reviewed and meets coding standards

- Debug and troubleshoot problems in test and in production

- Identify trends in product and feature quality that require further review or corrective action.

Qualifications

#### Knowledge and Skills
Required

- Strong hands-on experience in Python backend development.

- Excellent programming skills in one or more of (C/C++, Python, Java, Go or similar languages)

- Scripting Skills (Shell, Ruby, or, Bash, etc.)

- Good grasp on networking concepts and protocols

- Self-starter attitude and ability to make decisions independently

- Ability to thrive in an agile development environment where requirements, customer needs, and priorities may change dynamically

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of delivery against assigned tasks

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following domains:

Debugging and troubleshooting problems in test and in production

- Experience with GDB, Wireshark and similar industry-standards aids

- Knowledge on leveraging GenAI tools into day-to-day working

Desired

- Experience with multiple AI/ML algorithms and practical GenAI usage

- Practical experience with socket programming and network-based application development.

- Experience of working in a collaborative mode across multiple time zones and across cultures would be an added advantage

Work Experience, Education and Certifications

- Bachelor's Degree (STEM) or equivalent experience

- 2-4 years of experience in large-scale integrations environments
