Production Designer (Healthcare Forms)
Position Profile
Ricoh is seeking a Production Designer to join our growing team supporting a large healthcare account. This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys creating clear, consistent, and functional print materials while collaborating directly with customers and production professionals.
The Production Designer will manage a queue of customer requests, develop healthcare forms and related print materials using established design standards, and help ensure projects are produced efficiently and cost effectively. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer communication skills, and the ability to balance design quality with production requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow RICOH Service Excellence performance requirements.
- Partner directly with customers to understand project requirements and provide design guidance within established standards.
- Design and update healthcare forms and other print materials using approved templates and design specifications.
- Translate customer requests into clear, accurate, production-ready files.
- Manage and prioritize an active queue of design requests while meeting established deadlines.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs align with printing capabilities, efficiency requirements, and cost-effective production methods.
- Review proofs and coordinate with print production personnel to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain consistency across forms and printed materials by adhering to established brand and document standards.
- Support continuous process improvements and contribute to a positive customer experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications) Required
- 1+ year of graphic design, production design, or related creative experience.
- Customer service experience with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Experience creating print-ready files using Adobe Creative Suite with established competency in InDesign.
Preferred
- 2+ years of graphic design or production design experience.
- Experience supporting print, copy, or production environments.
- Experience working with templates, standardized documents, forms and brand guidelines.
- Experience with web-to-print or online ordering systems.
- Experience working in healthcare, regulated industries, or other detail-oriented environments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe InDesign.
- Strong layout, typography, and document design skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to follow established design standards while adapting solutions to customer needs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace applications.
- Portfolio or design samples demonstrating design competency, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Understanding of print production processes and file preparation preferred.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
- Work is performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, temperature, and noise levels.
- Position requires the ability to interpret, comprehend, and apply detailed information, instructions, and established procedures while managing multiple priorities and customer requests.
- Regular communication with customers, team members, and production personnel is required to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure accuracy throughout the design and production process.
- Work assignments are varied and require strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Position is primarily sedentary and requires extended periods of computer-based work using design and office software applications.
- Occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds may be required (e.g., paper samples, proofs, files, and printed materials).
- Requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment, along with the visual acuity necessary to review layouts, proofs, and detailed design elements.
