Software Engineering Manager

As a Software Engineering Manager within Indirect Purchasing IT, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of COSMOS, a modern global inventory management platform that replaces six legacy mainframe applications with a cloud-native solution built on Java and GCP. You will provide technical leadership, delivery oversight, and people management for a cross-functional engineering team responsible for building scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise applications. The role focuses on modernization, enterprise integration, cloud adoption, and engineering excellence while supporting business processes across Purchasing, Materials Management, Manufacturing, Finance, Logistics, and Plant Operations. This is a unique opportunity to build and launch a large-scale global application from the ground up and drive digital transformation across multiple regions.

Modernization & Engineering Leadership

- 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
- Proven experience leading large-scale application modernization programs.
- Experience delivering enterprise applications in global environments.
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience leading Agile software development teams.

Technology

- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience building microservices and API-driven architectures.
- Experience with Angular-based application development.
- Strong SQL and PostgreSQL experience.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized deployments.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience designing and deploying solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, and monitoring practices.

Enterprise Integration

- Experience integrating enterprise applications and platforms.
- Experience working with SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA integrations is preferred.
- Experience managing complex systems with multiple upstream and downstream dependencies.
