Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design and detail custom machinery for the textile and wastewater industry. The ideal candidate will take projects from concept to completion with minimal supervision and report to the engineering manager.
Responsibilities
- Prepare product designs including 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with other groups, suppliers, and customers to determine product specifications and arrange equipment.
- Evaluate products according to quality standards and specifications.
- Provide engineering support for manufacturing and sales to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience in mechanical engineering and design.
- New product development skills.
- Experience with sheet metal and machine design.
- Strong computer skills, problem-solving ability, analytical skills, and technical understanding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with stainless steel sheet metal design.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
