Foodservice Marketing Associate

Job Purpose

The Marketing Associate is an entry-level marketing position that provides foundational experience in brand management, sales support, market analysis, and cross-functional business operations. This role supports the Foodservice Marketing team through the execution of marketing initiatives, development of sales support resources, analysis of business and market data, and coordination of key projects. The Marketing Associate will build the business acumen, leadership capabilities, and marketing skills necessary for future growth within the organization, including progression into Brand Management and other marketing leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Marketing & Brand Support

- •Assist in the execution of marketing plans, business initiatives, and promotional programs.
- Support the development of sales presentations, customer-facing materials, and product support resources.
- Coordinate project timelines and assist with the execution of new product launches and commercialization efforts.
- Maintain marketing materials and ensure alignment with brand standards and business objectives.

Market Research & Business Analysis

- Conduct operator, customer, consumer, and industry research to identify market trends and business opportunities.
- Gather and analyze sales, commodity markets, and competitive data to support business decisions and category pricing models.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries that communicate findings to marketing and sales leadership.
- Monitor competitive activity and emerging industry trends.

Sales Enablement

- Partner with sales teams to support customer presentations, training materials, and sales programs.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of sales tools and marketing resources.
- Respond to internal requests for product, marketing, and promotional information.
- Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and sales events as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Sales, Research & Development, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Operations teams to support business initiatives.
- Assist in project coordination and communication across functional teams.
- Support ongoing business processes and special projects assigned by marketing leadership.

Professional Development

- Build foundational knowledge of Foodservice channels, marketing principles, product portfolios, and customer needs.
- Participate in training opportunities and mentorship programs designed to prepare employees for future Brand Management positions.
- Demonstrate ownership, initiative, and continuous learning in support of career progression.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Food Marketing, Business Administration, Professional Selling, Agribusiness, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of professional experience in marketing, sales, business, or a related field.
- Relevant internship, leadership, or project experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through internships, student organizations, athletics, work experience, or volunteer activities.

Hours

This is a full-time, salaried position.

Location(s)

- Position is based at the Corporate Office in Austin, Minnesota.
- Limited travel may be required for customer visits, trade shows, training programs, or business meetings.

- Competitive weekly pay of $1,300 ($67,600 annually)
