Legend Biotech is seeking a Manager, Strategic Operations and Governance as part of the Global Manufacturing & Supply team based in Bridgewater, NJ.

Role Overview

The Manager, GMS Strategic Operations & Governance, plays a critical role in enabling execution excellence across GMS. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the position is responsible for administering the GMS operating system, managing strategic initiative portfolio reporting, coordinating governance processes, and driving disciplined follow-through on leadership decisions and commitments.

The role provides operational oversight, portfolio visibility, and execution support across key GMS priorities by integrating information from multiple functions, identifying risks and dependencies, and ensuring actions are translated into measurable outcomes.Through strong governance, reporting, and stakeholder coordination, this position helps improve organizational transparency, accountability, and effectiveness across GMS.

Key Responsibilities

Governance and operating system execution

- Support execution of the GMS operating rhythm and governance forums.

- Prepare agendas, pre-reads, and decision materials for leadership forums.

- Track decisions, actions, and escalations through to closure.

- Standardize templates, trackers, and governance documentation.

- Analyze and synthesize inputs to support leadership decisions.

Pre-JMC Governance Readiness & Follow-Through

- Lead coordination and readiness activities for pre-JMC governance reviews.

- Coordinate development of meeting materials, status summaries, decision requests, and supporting analysis.

- Manage follow-up activities, action tracking, and closing commitments resulting from pre-JMC discussions.

- Coordinate inputs across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technical Operations, Quality, Finance, and Alliance stakeholders as required.

- Ensure governance actions and commitments are documented, tracked, and executed in a timely manner.

Strategic Initiative Portfolio Management & Reporting

- Administer and maintain the GMS strategic initiative portfolio management process.

- Consolidate updates from initiative owners and maintain portfolio dashboards, milestones, risks, dependencies, and status reporting.

- Prepare recurring portfolio reviews and executive reporting packages for GMS leadership.

- Support portfolio review discussions by providing fact-based analysis and visibility to progress.

Cross-Functional Alignment

- Align inputs and deliverables across GMS functions.

- Partner with the strategic initiative owners and enterprise stakeholders.

- Escalate blockers, risks, and unresolved dependencies to the Chief of Staff.

Decision Making

- Manage governance processes, action tracking, portfolio reporting, and operating system administration.

- Drive cross-functional alignment through information synthesis and strategic recommendations.

- Identify process improvement opportunities and escalate critical issues and risks.

- Establish reporting frameworks, governance methodologies, and meeting cadence requirements.

Requirements

- Master’s degree required.

- Preferred fields include Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Life Sciences, or related disciplines.

- 5-8 years of experience in business operations, strategic operations, program management, PMO, consulting, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or biotechnology/pharmaceutical industries.

- Experience supporting governance forums, operating rhythms, portfolio reporting, or business operations.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cross-functional initiatives simultaneously.

- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience preparing executive-level presentations, dashboards, and status reporting.

- 5-8 years of experience in business operations, strategic operations, program management, PMO, consulting, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or biotechnology/pharmaceutical industries.

- Experience supporting governance forums, operating rhythms, portfolio reporting, or business operations.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cross-functional initiatives simultaneously.

- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience preparing executive-level presentations, dashboards, and status reporting.

- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel.

- Power BI, Smartsheet, Project Online, or equivalent portfolio management tools.

- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop executive-level presentations, reports, and meeting materials and effectively communicate across global, cross-functional teams.

The base pay range below is what Legend Biotech USA Inc. reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify this range as needed and in accordance with applicable laws.

Other Types of Pay: Performance-based bonus and/or equity is available to employees in eligible roles.

Pay Range (Base Pay): $146,410 — $192,164 USD
