Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Marketing & Communications
FLSA: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of Lori's Gifts' marketing and communications initiatives, ensuring company priorities are communicated and supported clearly, consistently and effectively across internal and external audiences.

Serving as a key partner to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, this role translates organizational and departmental strategies into actionable marketing and communication plans and drives those plans through execution. The Senior Manager works cross-functionally with Operations, Merchandising, Human Resources, IT and Senior Leadership to coordinate priorities, manage communication channels and ensure initiatives are delivered accurately, on time and in alignment with Lori's brand and organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, strong project leader and highly organized self-starter who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, multi-location retail environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Marketing & Communications

- Partner with the Vice President of Marketing & Communications to develop and execute marketing and communication plans aligned with company objectives.
- Translate business priorities into integrated plans with clear audiences, messages, channels, deliverables and timelines.
- Lead the day-to-day Marketing & Communications workflow, establishing priorities and driving projects to completion.
- Maintain consistency of Lori's brand identity, voice and messaging across internal and external communications.
- Identify opportunities to improve communication effectiveness and customer and employee engagement.
- Serve as a trusted Marketing & Communications partner to departments throughout the organization.

Internal & Field Communications

- Lead the development and execution of communications to Lori's field organization and Support Center.
- Oversee key internal communication channels, including Connecting Points , WRAP communications and other companywide messaging.
- Manage the company communication calendar to ensure messages are appropriately prioritized, coordinated and timed.
- Write, edit and proofread communications on behalf of departments and Senior Leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination for cross-functional communication requests.
- Ensure communications are clear, concise, actionable and consistent with Lori's voice and standards.

Marketing & Campaign Execution

- Lead the execution of promotional and marketing campaigns across customer and employee channels.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives across in-store, digital, loyalty, email, app, social and other channels.
- Partner with Merchandising and Operations to support successful execution of promotional initiatives.
- Support marketing initiatives associated with new stores, hospital partners, new concepts and other growth opportunities.
- Partner with the Graphic Designer to develop creative materials supporting promotional and organizational objectives.
- Ensure marketing projects remain on schedule and proactively address potential roadblocks.

Content & Digital Communications

- Develop and oversee content for internal communications, REWARDed, social media, email, digital platforms and other channels.
- Maintain a consistent Lori's brand voice across communication platforms.
- Oversee the company's social media content calendar and day-to-day strategy.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen digital engagement with customers, hospital partners and employees.
- Monitor emerging communication and marketing trends and recommend opportunities appropriate for the Lori's brand.

Cross-Functional Partnership

- Develop strong working relationships with Operations, Merchandising, Human Resources, IT, Finance and other Support Center departments.
- Partner with Operations on communicating operational initiatives, with Operations maintaining ownership of training and field execution.
- Support Senior Leadership with companywide and executive communications.
- Coordinate marketing and communication support for hospital partners, new-store openings and other strategic initiatives.
- Gather information from cross-functional stakeholders and translate it into effective communications and marketing materials.

Team & Project Leadership

- Coordinate priorities, timelines and project plans across the Marketing & Communications team.
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to Marketing & Communications team members as assigned.
- Coordinate work with external vendors and partners as needed.
- Monitor project status, anticipate challenges and proactively drive work toward completion.
- Establish processes and tools that improve department efficiency, organization and accountability.
- Provide coaching, feedback and development support to team members as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business or related field preferred.
- 5–7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, communications or a related field.
- Previous experience leading projects, campaigns and/or team members.
- Exceptional written, verbal, editing and proofreading skills.
- Strong project-management skills with demonstrated success managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to translate complex business information into clear, engaging and actionable communications.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, including Senior Leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
- Experience with digital marketing, email, social media and/or loyalty programs preferred.
- Retail, hospitality, healthcare or multi-location organization experience preferred.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and accountable with a strong sense of urgency.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
