We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Own service readiness and operational governance by defining and tracking NFRs and maintaining runbooks, SOPs and operational artefacts
- Oversee operational readiness reviews to confirm production standards are met and risks are managed before release
- Deliver continuity through backup and restore and DR planning including regular testing, validation of RTO and RPO targets and remediation actions
- Run monitoring, alerting and observability to support incident response, major incident triage, service restoration, RCA and problem management
- Manage vulnerability remediation and patching across Windows and Linux OS and platform components prioritising by risk and producing audit-ready evidence
- Operate and improve GCP and Kubernetes (GKE) platform services including upgrades, node pools, add-ons, capacity and availability management and workload troubleshooting
- Apply core cloud controls across IAM, networking, logging and monitoring to keep platform operations secure and supportabl
- Reduce operational toil through automation for checks, patch orchestration, reporting and evidence capture using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible and Python
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bring substantial experience in platform engineering, infrastructure or cloud operations, SRE or production support with strong incident, problem and change management discipline
- Demonstrate hands-on experience operating GCP infrastructure at scale including IAM, networking and observability
- Show strong Kubernetes experience, ideally GKE, including cluster lifecycle management and troubleshooting
- Apply strong Windows and Linux administration capability including patching, troubleshooting and operational hygiene
- Build and maintain automation using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible and Python
- Produce clear operational documentation including runbooks, SOPs and support evidence suitable for audit and assurance
- Deliver backup, restore and DR practices including testing and validation against RTO and RPO targets
- Support effective incident triage, RCA and problem management with a focus on reducing recurring issues and alert noise
- Building reliable cloud platforms
