Starting Monthly Salary: $6,847 - $8,559

VELUX is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Account Manager to develop and grow relationships with key national account customers. This role will develop and execute sales and business strategies that increase sales, strengthen customer partnerships, and create long-term, profitable business.

The current customer base includes Lowe’s, multiple buying groups (LMC, LBM Advantage, Do-It-Best, Cameron Ashley, etc.), Nemeon roofing supply cooperative, 84 Lumber, and Builders FirstSource.

This is a highly collaborative role, combining strategic account management, data analysis, retail execution, e-commerce, and customer relationship management.

The successful candidate will work across VELUX and alongside major customers to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and deliver results.

A Role with National Reach

Fort Mill, SC (Charlotte, NC area) is the preferred location, although potential locations elsewhere in the Eastern U.S. will be considered.

This position reports into the Fort Mill, SC office and is a Hybrid Remote role, requiring regular office visits in coordination with the National Account Manager.

Regular national travel is an important part of the position. Approximately two trips per month can be expected on average, with the potential for more depending on business needs.

The role will also support preparation for annual meetings with national account customers, including research and analysis of key sales drivers and KPIs, presentation development, and other account-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a central role in growing and managing assigned national accounts, with responsibilities including:

- Developing and executing omnichannel sales strategies to grow national account business.
- Building productive, proactive, and profitable relationships with Lowe’s and other assigned accounts, working across VELUX cross-functional departments as needed.
- Regularly attending Lowe’s meetings and supporting all aspects of the business across in-store and e-commerce channels.
- Gathering, organizing, and analyzing high volumes of data and providing management with reporting and project analysis to support business decisions.
- Developing and maintaining sales reporting through the BWP reporting system, as well as maintaining an active understanding of POS data and providing insight into results.
- Developing store planograms and stock recommendation templates by market, including analysis of SKU mix and program rationalization by geographic area.
- Maintaining SKU systems, compliance programs, operational requirements, and regular agreements within assigned national accounts.
- Providing monthly and quarterly reporting on sales and initiative progress, including additional accounts within the department as needed.
- Preparing and delivering customer and internal presentations, including key account presentations and annual customer meeting materials.
- Partnering with the field sales team to champion support for managed accounts.
- Supporting the execution and analysis of assigned sales promotions and coordinating vendor store resets at Lowe’s.
- Preparing for and participating in Buying Co-Op spring and fall buying shows as required.
- Staying abreast of trends within the Home Center and related business channels.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have Bachelor’s degree, combined with three to five years of sales experience. Experience with national accounts or mass merchant retail is preferred.

Furthermore, you will bring:

- Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
- Business Warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong reporting-system skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a positive, professional image.
