Warehouse Systems Controller

Here at GXO, we are looking for a Warehouse Systems Controller to join our team on our Nestle Purina contract in Hams Hall, Birmingham . You will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the warehouse management system and its associated hardware, as well as GXO systems and hardware. You’ll support the operation by resolving system issues efficiently and effectively to reduce any operational downtime, whilst also supporting the operation in resolving systematic issues.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £37,948.29 plus night shift allowance of £3,837.60 per annum , and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts

What you’ll do on a typical day:

- Ensure the site systems are running efficiently and where possible reduce system down time

- Coordinate the successful and continuous interfaces between the warehouse management system and the customers ERP system

- Updating location sequences to support integrations of new season inventory

- Carry out security backups of hardware and software systems

- Take an active role in crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems

- Strong aptitude towards warehouse management systems and associated technologies

- Innovative and creative attitude towards resolving IT issues

- Communication skills – for internal and external customers

- Able to analyse and extract system data whilst being proactive, and have the ability to devise suitable solutions to problems

- Able to work effectively under pressure whilst being structured and organised and able to absorb and interpret detail
