About this role
SUMMARY
Assist with fabricating and installing piping systems and fixtures for high-pressure water, gas, and steam flow using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as lathes.
Experience in cutting, bending, and threading pipes and packing and joining piping to proper fittings preferred.
Experience in installing valves, thermostats, and gauges that regulate flow and pressure and in testing the piping system to make sure it complies with safety standards as the plant needs preferred.
Experience in the planning, development, and resource management phases of all pipefitting process systems preferred.
JOB TASKS
- Basic understanding of Fabrication Shop duties.
- Basic understanding of Construction/Roustabout tools and procedures.
- Quality Task Execution
- Show up for work every day
- Perform facility construction.
- General facility maintenance.
- Perform cleanup duties at the Shop and/or on site locations.
- Install and repair piping, valves, pumps, and motors.
- Using hand and power tools to complete tasks.
- Operate skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, or other moving or lifting equipment
- Abide by company policy of safety first.
- All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of Fabrication Shop and/or oil and gas operations experience preferred.
- Experience working as laborer, including proficiency with all types of tools and equipment is preferred.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Successful completion and passing of company drug screen and background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be willing and able to work in a field environment in all weather conditions and noisy environments; Must have the ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials and manipulating things.
- Requires ability for sitting, standing, walking, lifting heavy materials, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs & ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, repeated bends, crawling, reaching high and low; this is a physically demanding position
- Must be willing and able to work as needed on a 24/7 basis;
