Job Description:

Microchip Technology Inc. is a market leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of Frequency Control, Sensor, and Hybrid Product solutions using the latest cutting-edge techniques. For over 70 years, the Mount Holly Springs facility has been providing solutions for Satellite Constellations, Deep Space Exploration Missions, Military Systems, GPS, Communication Networks, and much more. Essential Responsibilities:

- Monitor different requirements on a wide range of material and parts and ensure that incoming materials and parts meet those requirements.
- Review drawings and requirements for incoming material and production units.
- Review Certificates of Conformance (COC) to ensure material matches what we were supposed to receive.
- Operate X-Ray Fluorescence Machine to conduct incoming inspections.
- Monitor incoming parts that require inspection prior to moving to stock.
- Operate small oven when required to do Capacitor De-Aging.
- Write up returned material authorizations (RMAs) for material returned to Microchip.
- Initiate non-conforming material reports (NCMR) for incoming material not meeting specifications.
- Maintain our document and part retention when required.
- Maintain Incoming Inspection Log.
- Work with Quality and Production to make sure incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished goods are inspected efficiently and correctly.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety and quality policies.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience / Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No prior inspection or manufacturing experience required; relevant experience or training is a plus.

Requirements / Qualifications:

- Basic mechanical or machine operation aptitude; comfortable learning to work with tools, equipment, and/or machinery.
- Ability to learn and understand technical processes and follow detailed work instructions.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn computer-based systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Schedule:

- M-F, 3:30pm-12am (2nd shift) - Candidate would be expected to undergo training on first shift for about 8 weeks before moving to afternoons.
